New Mazda 3
For 2010, The Mazda 3 has been completely redesigned inside and out.
The Mazda 3 is a premium compact car, exciting to drive and look at,
and equipped with unexpected luxury and technology features not
typically found in its class. The Mazda 3 comes with four levels of
equipment: SV (sedan only), Sport, Touring (sedan only) and Grand
Touring. The entry-level i-model (sedan only) is available with a
148-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, while the sporty s-model
(sedan and hatchback) is equipped with a new 167-hp 2.5-liter
four-cylinder borrowed from the Mazda 6. Available tech features
include a compact navigation system, advanced keyless entry and
start, Bluetooth for cell phones and music streaming, Homelink
garage door opener, satellite radio and a 10-speaker BOSE audio
system.
New Mazda 6
For 2010, the Mazda 6 gets a new Touring Plus trim,
and a new Technology Package on the Grand Touring. The
larger and more sophisticated Mazda 6 is aimed squarely at the other
Japanese family sedans that dominate the mid-size car segment in
North America. Buyers can choose between two engines, a 170-hp
2.5-liter four-cylinder or a 272-hp 3.7-liter V6 engine. The 2.5 can
be teamed with either a six-speed manual or optional five-speed
automatic, while the V6 is bolted exclusively to a six-speed
automatic transmission.
New Mazda Miata
The Mazda MX-5 Miata continues into 2010, although the SV trim was
dropped from the soft-top, and the Sport trim was dropped from the
hardtop. The MX-5 Miata roadster comes in two basic configurations:
a soft-top or a power retractable hardtop. Three transmissions are
offered, a five-speed manual, a six-speed manual and a six-speed
automatic with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters. The only
engine available, a 2.0-liter, inline four-cylinder, comes in two
power levels, one rated at 167 horsepower with either manual
transmission, or 158 horsepower with the automatic.
New Mazda 5
The Mazda 5 represents the automakers family hauler, it is a mix
between a microvan and a subcompact crossover and is small yet
versatile, seating up to six passengers or hauling just about any
shape cargo thanks to its two rows of folding seats. For 2010,
stability and traction control have been added as standard equipment
to the Mazda 5. The Mazda 5 has sliding doors and a vertical liftgate
out back, in addition to styling reminiscent of a minivan. Offered in
Sport, Touring, or Grand Touring trims, it is powered by a 2.3-liter,
153-hp, four-cylinder engine with available five-speed manual or
five-speed automatic. Second row bucket seats can recline and slide
while 3-row side-curtain airbags provide protection for everyone on
board.
New Mazda Tribute
For 2010, the Mazda Tribute incorporates flex-fuel capability with
the 3.0-liter V6. The Grand Touring trims receive a video display
system in the rear view mirror, and towing package as standard
equipment. The Tribute, Mazda’s sole SUV, is available with two
engine options: a 2.5-liter four-cylinder or a 3.0-liter V6. A
five-speed manual transmission is offered, but only on the i Sport
FWD trim, all other FWD and AWD trim levels, regardless of engine,
are standard with a six-speed automatic transmission.
